Program Description

Event Description

Read the bones to discover the story written in them. Students will be introduced to the world of forensic science and learn how to identify pathologies (evidence of trauma and disease) found on a variety of animal bones and diagnose these pathologies on wild and domestic animal species. Pathologies and traumas covered in this class include bone fracture repairs, osteosarcoma, osteomyelitis, parasitic infections, bacterial infections, and gunshot wounds. We will also discuss different careers and professions that involve veterinary pathology. Capacity for this program is 25 students.
