Event Description
Build A Support System With People Who Understand
Alzheimer's Association Support groups, conducted by trained facilitators, are a safe place for caregivers, family and friends of persons with dementia to:
Exchange practical information on caregiving challenges and possible solutions. Discuss issues and ways of coping, share feelings, needs and concerns. Caring for someone with Alzheimer’s disease can present many challenges and take a significant toll on a caregiver’s health. A support group can provide the assistance and reassurance you need to manage stress and take time for your own much-needed care. Learn about community resources and print and electronic resources available at the library.
This is a recurring event and meets the third Thursday of each month.
