In honor of our Big Library Read on Harry Potter, here's a way to create your own magic wand using supplies around your house (and outside your house).

 

Supplies

  • Stick

  • Yarn

  • Glue

  • Paint and Paint Brush

  • Optional:  Glitter/Glitter Glue

Steps

  1. Gather supplies.
  2. Wrap yarn around the base of your stick
  3. Make a design for your wand using the yarn.
  4. Use glue to secure any loose yarn.
  5. Paint your wand.
  6. Let your wand dry.
  7. Optional:  Add any other decorations such as glitter. 
  8. Cast spells and create magic!
