September is a month of celebration at the Metropolitan Library System as we mark both Library Card Sign-Up Month and Hispanic Heritage Month. We invite everyone to explore the many ways your library card can enhance your life with a range of engaging events and activities for all ages.

Hispanic Heritage Month – Sept. 15 to Oct. 15
Join us in celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with a variety of events and activities that honor the rich cultural heritage of the Hispanic community:

Paint Your Own Cantarito de Barro - Warr Acres Library, Sept. 18 at 6 p.m.

Decorate traditional Mexican clay mugs (cantaritos) with floral designs. Each participant receives a packet of Abuelita's Mexican Style Instant Hot Chocolate. For adults.

Book Discussion: I Am Not Your Perfect Mexican Daughter - Capitol Hill Library, Sept. 25 at 6 p.m.

Join the BIPOC Book Club for a discussion of Erika L. Sánchez's "I Am Not Your Perfect Mexican Daughter." Light refreshments will be served. For adults.
