Greeting parents and caregivers! At the behest of my imaginative father-in-law, I’ve decided to build my kiddos a tree house in my backyard (he’s doing most of the work). It’s currently in its primordial stages, but upon completion, it will have a firefighter’s pole, a secret passageway, a tiny trampoline, a (non-functioning) fireplace, and lots of bookcases.

Crisp air is the first of many signs that autumn is bound for arrival. It’s also a prelude; a gentle reminder that frosty days and nights aren’t far behind. I hope you enjoy this month’s selections! All of the selections have a “spooky” theme, but none of the books are too scary to share with your young readers. I hope you’re able to take some time this month to share a story with the little ones in your life!
