Let’s Talk About It, Oklahoma! Book Discussion Series

The newest series of Let’s Talk about It, Oklahoma at the Belle Isle Library is focused on Coming of Age in America. Join the discussion at the Belle Isle Library, 5501 N. Villa, on the last Saturday of each month from February 27 through May 30 at 2 P.M.

Let’s Talk About It, Oklahoma is a book club presented in partnership with Metropolitan Library System and the Oklahoma Humanities Council. A different humanities professor from area universities leads the book discussion each month, giving added insight and information to help broaden conversations.

Some familiar classic books will follow the theme of coming of age in America, a complex and multi-faceted transition,” said Belle Isle librarian, Ann Meeks. “The book discussion series portrays young adults facing adult problems and the change that occurs from their confrontations. The program is a popular series for both adults and young adults.”

Being grown up can be more fun at when you join in the discussion! Books will be available for loan at the book club, or can be checked out from any Metropolitan library location.

I earned a BA in Professional Writing from the University of Oklahoma. I enjoy writing about all of the great things the library system has to offer. When not penning articles and press releases about valuable library services, I hang out with my two creative children. We love to find interesting free things to do around Oklahoma and visit libraries and book stores wherever we go.
