Beethoven the Creator

Beethoven the Creator

Enjoy a musical celebration of “Beethoven the Creator” at the Belle Isle Library, 5501 N. Villa, Sunday, January 11 at 2 P.M., performed by classical pianist Wayne McEvilly

Named for the 1929 book by Romain Rolland, “Beethoven the Creator” is a musical presentation honoring the music and life of Ludwig van Beethoven.

“I talk to the audience about what was going on in the composer’s life when he wrote particular pieces of music,” McEvilly explains, “I do a lot of research to tell the audience more about the man behind the music.”

McEvilly, who has presented the music of many classic composers in Oklahoma libraries for nearly a decade, shares his knowledge in piano concerts that are both entertaining and educational.

I earned a BA in Professional Writing from the University of Oklahoma. I enjoy writing about all of the great things the library system has to offer. When not penning articles and press releases about valuable library services, I hang out with my two creative children. We love to find interesting free things to do around Oklahoma and visit libraries and book stores wherever we go.
