About Swan Memorial Harrah Library
The Metropolitan Library System has provided library services to the Harrah community in a variety of ways since the 1970s. The current library, open since 1991, resides in the original First Interstate Bank building and is named in honor of Elizabeth Swan, wife of bank executive Frank Swan, who donated the building to the City of Harrah in 1987. The outlines of the original drive-through windows can still be seen on the wall, and the children’s collection resides in the space originally filled by a massive bank vault.
The Swan Memorial Harrah Library offers a broad array of services, including public access computers, free Wi-Fi, copy/scan/fax/printing services, programs and events for all ages, and a robust local collection of physical materials for all interests and tastes.
Book drop location: to the right of entrance, freestanding near the sidewalk.
