    The effects of major depression are far reaching, but most of those who are afflicted suffer in secret and silence. According Healthline.com, one in 10 Americans has symptoms of clinical depression, but over 80 percent of those are not receiving treatment.  Oklahoma is listed as one of the seven states with the highest rates of depression. The Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance reports that depression is one of the top three workplace issues.
